The Royal Entomological Society unites people around the world to share knowledge around the study of insects and engage audiences everywhere. We invest in meaningful entomology to benefit the natural world and society.

We welcome anyone interested in insect science.
We have membership plans suitable for anybody over the age of 18.
If you know anyone younger than 18 years of age interested in insect science, please direct them to the Amateur Entomologists’ Society who offer different levels of membership for young people and enthusiasts.
We offer one-year’s free membership to all students, followed by a discount for each remaining year of studentship. Members may use the suffix “Mem.RES”.
Applications for fellowship are invited from those who have made a substantial contribution to entomology, through evidence of experience and achievement, or through publications. Fellowship may be regarded as an academic qualification and fellows are entitled to make use of the title “Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society” and the suffix “FRES” .
Membership and fellowship fees are discounted for anyone who is a student, retired and/or based in a low- and middle-income country.
